Data Principal Notice

This notice is provided in compliance with §5 of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"). It supplements our Privacy Policy and tells you, in plain language, how to exercise your rights as a Data Principal.

Last updated 14 June 2026

Overview

The DPDP Act gives every individual ("Data Principal") in India a set of rights over their personal data, and places obligations on every entity that handles such data ("Data Fiduciary"). PeyCoIn takes those obligations seriously.

Your rights as a Data Principal

  • Right to information — a summary of personal data we process about you and the processing activities.
  • Right to correction & erasure — to correct, complete, update, or erase personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Right of grievance redressal — to have your complaint resolved within statutory timelines and escalate to the Data Protection Board.
  • Right to nominate — to nominate any individual to exercise these rights in the event of your death or incapacity.

We will respond to verifiable requests within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Where we rely on consent, we ask only for what is necessary, in plain English (and your preferred Indian language where available), and you can withdraw consent at any time from Settings → Privacy in the app, or by emailing privacy@pey.co.in. Withdrawing consent does not affect lawful processing already carried out.

Nominee

You may, at any time, nominate another individual to exercise your rights under the DPDP Act in case of your death or incapacity. To register a nominee, go to Settings → Privacy → Nominee in the app or write to our DPO.

Processing of children's and disabled persons' data

PeyCoIn does not knowingly process personal data of children (under 18) or persons with disabilities who have a lawful guardian, without verifiable consent of the parent or lawful guardian. We will not engage in tracking, behavioural monitoring, or targeted advertising directed at children.

Personal data breach notification

In case of a personal data breach, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and each affected Data Principal in the form and manner prescribed under §8(6) of the DPDP Act, without undue delay.
